Working collaboratively as a member of the medical staff, the APRN will play a critical role in managing the medical needs of patients

Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician Orders. Interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs.

Record physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
Provide written home-going instructions. Collaborate with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan as necessary

Prescribe or recommend medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures. Refer patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment

Maintains medical records (Using Electronic Medical Record software). Educate and coach nursing staff on best nursing practices. Communicate with and counsel family members on treatment options material changes in status.
